Community Wall

The Ilfracombe Art & Craft Societies Community Wall is a designated space within the art & craft centre to exhibit creative work from communities anywhere within North Devon. This could be schools, community art groups, art students, individuals or Groups who would like to exhibit their artistic talents.
The Community Wall is split between two displays, one in our window which measures 150cm wide by 100cm high (this can hold up to 12 A4 pictures), the other situated behind our cash desk which measures 220cm wide by 150cm high (this holds 20 A4 pictures).

Work can be of any size provided it fits within the designated Community Wall spaces.
Information can also be included on the individual or group displaying their work, for example giving some background on who they are where they operate from and the inspiration behind the work on display. This information would need to be included in the designated Community Wall space.
Work may be display on one or both of the boards depending on your requirements.
Work is displayed for approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

Work on display can be for exhibition only or displayed with prices for sale. Work sold would be subject to a 40% commission being taken by Ilfracombe Art & Craft Society on all sales.

Schools/groups (Children) - are welcome to supply information about themselves and any information they would like to share about the theme of the work. However due to data protection it is the schools/groups responsibility to ensure that permission has been obtained if displaying names/ages, etc on children's artwork. Ilfracombe Art & Craft Society will take no responsibility if artwork is displayed where permission has not been sought.

Adult groups - If you wish to display names of individuals displaying as part of your group we ask that their permission is sought before work is displayed. Ilfracombe Art & Craft Society will take no responsibility if artwork is displayed where permission has not been sought. Ilfracombe Art & Craft Society have the right to refuse to display work that they feel could be seen as distressing or offensive to the public.
